ARC Portugal begins in Plymouth, setting the fleet on course for the Bay of Biscay and the welcoming shores of Baiona in northern Spain. From here, the route turns south, following the Iberian coastline through a series of relaxed day sails. With time to explore ashore at each stop, the journey is as much about discovering new places as it is about the sailing.

The rally comes to a close in Lagos, where Portugal’s Algarve coast provides a fitting finale. Marina de Lagos is perfectly placed for exploring the region, from its dramatic coastline to its historic towns and beaches. With Faro Airport around an hour away, it’s also an easy base for a fly-sail escape.

For crews continuing south with the ARC or ARC+, Lagos marks another significant waypoint - around 750 nautical miles from Gran Canaria and the next stage of the Atlantic adventure.
