The Rally Handbook is packed full of useful information about the rally. The Handbook should be shared with all members of the crew, so please encourage them to read the book, or download the files below.

ARC 2026 Handbook - Introduction

This section welcomes you to the rally, introduces the World Cruising Club team and gives the rally timetable.

ARC 2026 Handbook: Preparations complete

The Preparations section is divided into four chapters, covering everything needed to prepare both boat and crew for the rally. It explains the World Cruising Club safety equipment regulations and the required safety gear, offers guidance on preparing your boat for a long passage—including communications, sail choices and spares—and helps you take a critical look at your boat’s readiness. It also provides advice for skippers and crew on preparing for an ocean passage, including watch systems and sailing with children or pets, along with practical tips for pre-departure planning and life at sea such as fuel and water management, boat and rigging checks, provisioning, and handling potential rigging failures.
